Today's News:
So how about that new Xbox? Initially no indie support, required 24 hour internet check, games will use licenses, and there's the potential for visual DRM using the new kinect that has to be connected. With all the negative feedback, it's no wonder why Microsoft has done a lot of back peddling on things they've said in the last week. Or is it just really bad internal communication? Something is clearly wrong when one person says one thing, and some one else says somethign entirely different a week later.
I don't think you need to ask after the comic, but there's not really much I'm happy about with seeing this machine, and it seems the more we know about it, the worse it seems. It's sad that the next iteration of what was my system of choice for the last 6 years will be a system that I'm making a point to avoid. Microsoft has made a console that on paper has the company in mind before the consumer, and that's incredibly disappointing to me.
At worst, everything we think we know about it is true. At best the Xbox One reveal was the worst console reveal I've ever seen, and e3 will changed a lot of what we've been told already.
